Director of People and Culture

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Director of People and Culture to join the leadership team of our Grand Mercure and Ibis Styles hotels in Mysuru, India. This visionary position will shape HR strategy, foster a high‑performance culture, and drive employee engagement across our growing hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic People and Culture initiatives that support organisational goals and business growth.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing People and Culture team, promoting excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Design and execute talent acquisition, retention and development programmes to attract top talent aligned with business needs.
• Oversee performance management and employee development processes to maximise productivity and career progression.
• Drive organisational development and change‑management projects to enhance culture, engagement and effectiveness.
• Partner with senior leadership on complex employee‑relations issues, mitigating risks and ensuring fair resolutions.
• Analyse People and Culture metrics, using data‑driven insights for strategic decision‑making and programme evaluation.
• Ensure full compliance with Indian labour laws, including the Labour Code, ESI and PF requirements.

Required profile

• Strategic HR leader with proven experience influencing senior management.
• Strong understanding of Indian labour legislation and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformation initiatives and manage change.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Indian labour laws, Labour Code, ESI and PF regulations.
