Director of Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on senior engineering leader to build and scale our engineering capability from the ground up. This role will drive product development, site reliability engineering (SRE) and information security while integrating engineering tightly with the broader India organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy, covering product development, SRE and information security.
• Recruit, scale and lead an engineering organization, demonstrating ROI from hires and delivery.
• Integrate engineering functions with the wider India business, eliminating any tech vs non‑tech divide.
• Own hiring approach, team structure, interview processes and operational practices.
• Provide thought leadership and set clear delivery goals without needing detailed direction.
• Travel regularly between Gurugram and Bangalore to ensure alignment across locations.

Required profile

• Strong startup experience, having built and led engineering teams or organizations.
• Exposure to fraud or banking SaaS products is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Comfortable owning strategy for software development, SRE and information security.
• Willingness to travel frequently between Gurugram and Bangalore.
