Director – Global Capability Centre (India)

About the role

Woolworths Group India is seeking a senior executive to establish and scale its first Global Capability Centre in Bangalore. The role will lead the India hub, driving digital, technology, data, analytics and eCommerce capabilities while aligning closely with the group’s teams in Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Build, scale and lead the India Hub as a strategic Global Capability Centre, defining vision, operating model and growth roadmap.
• Integrate the India organisation as a seamless extension of global teams, ensuring end‑to‑end collaboration with Australia and New Zealand.
• Foster a high‑performance, inclusive culture aligned with Woolworths Group’s purpose and values.
• Partner with executive leaders across business, technology, operations, digital, analytics and transformation to deliver long‑term priorities.
• Drive enterprise alignment, translating global strategies into India‑based execution.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary bridge between the Australian support office and India teams.
• Lead organisational scaling and talent development to build world‑class capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience establishing and scaling Global Capability Centres or similar large‑scale operations.
• Strong track record in digital, technology, data, analytics or eCommerce transformation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to influence strategic decisions across geographies.
• Demonstrated capability to build high‑performance, inclusive cultures.
• Experience working closely with global executive teams and aligning cross‑functional initiatives.
