Direct Tax Litigation & Advisory Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant or Lawyer to join our long‑standing CA firm in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The role focuses on high‑value direct tax litigation and advisory work, providing clients with representation before tax authorities and courts.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients before CIT(A), ITAT, High Courts, Supreme Court and other tax authorities.
• Handle complex direct tax litigation, assessments and appeals.
• Deliver tax consultancy and transaction advisory assignments.
• Draft technical opinions, submissions, legal documents and representations.
• Assist in developing practice areas such as the Black Money Act, Benami Law and PMLA.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to practice growth.
• Participate in professional forums, articles, conferences and knowledge initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified CA or Lawyer with 3–5 years of direct tax litigation and advisory experience.
• Strong drafting, analytical and research abilities.
• Proven ability to handle litigation matters independently.
• Excellent communication and client‑management skills.
• Passion for advisory work and building specialised practice areas.
