Digital Transformation & Innovation Lead – Corporate IT

About the role

The Digital Transformation & Innovation Lead will drive enterprise‑wide digital initiatives that align with Tata Advanced Systems' business and divisional strategies. Reporting to the CIO, the role focuses on process digitisation, technology innovation, IT‑OT convergence and data‑driven decision making while ensuring governance, security and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute an enterprise‑wide digital transformation roadmap across manufacturing, supply‑chain, finance, HR, quality and engineering functions.
• Identify and prioritize process‑re‑engineering opportunities using ERP optimisation, workflow automation, AI/ML, advanced analytics, low‑code platforms and other digital technologies.
• Establish an innovation framework to evaluate, pilot and scale emerging technologies such as RPA, IoT/Industry 4.0, digital twins and cloud‑based platforms, partnering with startups, system integrators and academia.
• Act as a strategic IT partner to business leaders, translating challenges into solution blueprints and driving change‑management, adoption and capability building.
• Align initiatives with enterprise architecture and data strategy, ensuring scalability, interoperability and the use of data as a strategic asset through dashboards, KPIs and predictive insights.
• Ensure governance, risk and compliance with cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, CERT‑In), data‑privacy regulations and internal audit requirements, and track ROI and benefits for each project.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale digital transformation programmes in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate business problems into technology solutions.
• Deep understanding of IT‑OT convergence, data‑driven decision making and enterprise governance frameworks.
• Excellent change‑management and communication skills to drive adoption across multiple functions.
