DevOps Engineer III – Multi‑cloud Platform

About the role

You will architect, scale, and automate the multi‑cloud computing fabric that powers millions of requests per second for Anaplan’s AI‑infused scenario planning platform. The role demands deep kernel‑level tuning, custom Kubernetes controller development, and zero‑downtime global deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and code custom Kubernetes controllers, mutating admission webhooks, and operators using Python, Go or Rust.
• Engineer automated chaos engineering frameworks that continuously inject failures into multi‑region active‑active production topologies.
• Programmatically optimize micro‑architecture CPU pinning, eBPF network routing and spot‑instance arbitrage to reduce cloud waste.
• Embed immutable security, real‑time eBPF runtime auditing and automated cryptographic attestation into CI/CD release pipelines.

Required profile

• Mastery of Go, Rust or C++ together with expert‑level Python/Bash for deep systems automation.
• Deep understanding of Linux kernel tuning, eBPF, service meshes such as Istio or Cilium, and BGP routing.
• Practical knowledge of distributed consensus algorithms (Raft, Paxos) and global database replication trade‑offs.
• Relevant certifications such as CKA and AWS/GCP Professional Architect or Security Specialty.
