DevOps Engineer – GCP Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform to design, automate, and secure cloud infrastructure at scale. You will partner with platform and product teams to boost reliability, performance, and developer velocity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain production‑grade infrastructure on GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL and Pub/Sub.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Author and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform and Helm charts.
• Monitor system health using Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus and Grafana; lead incident response and post‑mortems.
• Implement security best practices including IAM, VPC Service Controls, Secret Manager and vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reduce deployment friction and improve developer experience.
• Establish SLOs, SLIs and error budgets for critical services.
• Drive cost optimisation through rightsizing and committed‑use discounts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with GCP compute, networking, databases and serverless services.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes (GKE), Docker and container orchestration.
• Experience writing Terraform for multi‑environment deployments.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or Go.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Google Cloud Professional certification (DevOps Engineer or Architect) is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced agile environment.
