DevOps Engineer – AWS, CI/CD & Production Operations

About the role

Unico Connect, an AI‑first technology partner, is looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, deployment automation and production operations for its customer engagements. You will work on live AWS workloads, ensuring reliability, security and cost‑efficiency while collaborating closely with backend and AI teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and operate production AWS environments using services such as EC2, EKS/ECS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFront and Route53.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code modules with Terraform or Pulumi, enforcing consistency across multiple tenants.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS), Helm charts, Ingress controllers, autoscaling policies and workload isolation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or equivalent, incorporating automated tests, security scans and rollback mechanisms.
• Automate domain provisioning, TLS certificate issuance (Let’s Encrypt, cert‑manager, ACM) and CDN configuration (CloudFront, Cloudflare).
• Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki or CloudWatch, and lead incident response and post‑mortem creation.
• Handle secret management via Vault, AWS Secrets Manager or KMS and enforce least‑privilege IAM policies.
• Monitor AWS spend, identify waste and propose cost‑optimisation actions.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on DevOps or infrastructure experience, with at least one production AWS workload under your ownership.
• Strong operational knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS/ECS, RDS, CloudFront, Route53) and CloudWatch.
• Proven experience running Kubernetes in production, including Helm, Ingress and autoscaling.
• Solid expertise in Terraform (or Pulumi) for IaC.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar tools.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki) and incident management.
• Knowledge of secret management and TLS automation tools.
