Data Center Technician, Data Center Operations (DCO)

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its Data Center Operations (DCO) team. You will work on the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux‑based server infrastructure that powers the global AWS cloud, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Linux server platforms across AWS data centers.
• Perform system monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning to meet service level objectives.
• Configure, install, and manage network hardware such as switches, routers, and complex cabling systems.
• Develop and execute backup and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, security, and supply‑chain teams to integrate new technologies.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Linux server environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and network issues.
• Familiarity with data‑center scale operations and best practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills across diverse technical groups.
