Desktop Support Technician – IT Operations

About the role

Join Tesla’s IT Operations team as a Desktop Support Technician, providing both onsite and remote assistance to engineers and staff in a fast‑paced environment. You will be the front‑line point of contact for endpoint issues and help keep critical systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote support for computers, laptops and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software on Windows, Linux (Ubuntu) and macOS.
• Support engineering applications such as GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker, Autodesk products, Adobe Suite, O365, 3DX and Catia.
• Use device‑management tools (Ansible, Puppet, SCCM, Active Directory, Azure, JAMF, Intune) to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Resolve basic network problems on endpoints, including DNS, DHCP and VPN.
• Create and improve technical documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with Asset Management, Information Security, Desktop Engineering and Network Operations to escalated enterprise‑level problems.
• Manage tickets, meet SLA targets and lead special projects.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of desktop support experience with Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Experience with Linux server environments is a plus.
• Background supporting engineering software tools is preferred.
• Proven experience in an enterprise setting using Active Directory, Azure and Exchange.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation and attention to detail.
