Designer – Collection Development & Production

About the role

Mænaam is looking for a proactive Designer to own both collection development and production coordination. You will translate design concepts into production‑ready garments, work closely with master tailors and karigars, and ensure collections meet the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop seasonal collections that align with the brand’s visual identity.
• Create clear sketches and technical specifications for production.
• Collaborate with master tailors, karigars, and production teams to execute designs accurately.
• Manage the sampling process from concept through final sample approval.
• Coordinate sourcing of fabrics, trims, and other materials for both sampling and full production.
• Monitor production timelines and intervene to keep collections on schedule.
• Maintain quality control across samples and finished pieces.
• Support exhibition, launch, and special‑collection preparations, including travel when required.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in fashion design or collection development, preferably with a premium or luxury brand.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, embroidery, and handwork techniques.
• Proven experience working directly with karigars, master tailors, and production units.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Willingness to travel for exhibitions or sourcing trips.
