Design Engineer – Siemens NX (BIW)

About the role

We are looking for a BIW Design Engineer with strong expertise in Siemens NX to support Body‑in‑White development for passenger, commercial or electric vehicles. The role involves designing components, conducting feasibility studies and ensuring compliance with OEM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop BIW components and assemblies using Siemens NX, creating 3D models, 2D drawings and applying GD&T.
• Perform feasibility studies, tolerance stack‑up analysis, manufacturing assessments and develop sheet‑metal parts, reinforcements, brackets and closures.
• Coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, tooling and product engineering teams and support prototype builds, design validation and engineering change management.
• Participate in DFMEA, DVP&R, design reviews and release engineering documentation through PLM systems such as Teamcenter.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile or Production Engineering.
• Experience in BIW design and automotive sheet‑metal development, preferably on global OEM programs or EV architecture.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Siemens NX CAD.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with PLM tools, especially Teamcenter.
• Understanding of spot welding, hemming, joining technologies and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with APQP, DFMEA and engineering change processes.
