Design Engineer – Plastic Industry (Rotomoulding)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer specialized in plastic products, particularly rotomoulding, to join our Mumbai facility. The role involves creating and reviewing engineering drawings and developing new plastic components from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Study and interpret engineering drawings.
• Develop 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create 2D installation, assembly, and part drawings.
• Apply knowledge of rotomoulding, injection moulding and blow moulding processes.
• Consider material properties and GD&T requirements in designs.
• Document design processes and maintain design records.
• Utilize measuring instruments for prototype verification.

Required profile

• Engineering background with basic fundamentals of engineering.
• Experience or familiarity with plastic mould technologies (rotomoulding, injection, blow moulding).
• Preference for candidates based in Mumbai.
• Interest in custom plastic product development across automotive, safety, and material handling sectors.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D parametric modelling).
• AutoCAD.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of material properties for plastics.
• Use of measuring instruments.
