Design Engineer (Mechanical/Production)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to develop and modify 2‑D layouts and detailed fabrication drawings, as well as create 3‑D models for plant equipment. The role supports the design and production teams in delivering pumps, compressors, storage units and other mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify 2D layout, fabrication and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create and update 3D models and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare structural layouts and assembly details for pumps, compressors, storage units and plant equipment.
• Coordinate with design and production teams to incorporate feedback and design revisions.
• Maintain drawing standards, revision control and CAD data management.
• Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Prepare Balance of Plant specifications for auxiliary systems.
• Create fabrication drawings with welding symbols, material specifications and tolerances.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical or production design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Based in Taloja/Ghansoli, Mumbai, India.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
