Design Engineer – Liquid Waste Management

About the role

ASSYSTEM is seeking a Design Engineer specialized in liquid waste management to lead the design and implementation of wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant solutions for urban and industrial settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete wastewater treatment works, including treatment plants, pipelines and related facilities.
• Appraise and evaluate sub‑projects within larger wastewater schemes.
• Prepare master plans for wastewater and sewerage networks for cities and municipalities.
• Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Oversee contract management, monitor contractor performance, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Verify that construction activities are executed according to approved designs and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of the Project Completion Report, documenting outcomes and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental, Public Health, or Hydraulic Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in wastewater design and implementation projects.
• Proven experience in preparing wastewater/ sewerage master plans and managing large‑scale infrastructure contracts.
