Design Engineer – Holing (Formwork)

About the role

The Design Engineer – Holing will create accurate holing designs that support MFE's aluminium formwork production and project delivery. You will work closely with planning, production and design teams to ensure that holing outputs meet technical specifications and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare holing designs, drawings and related documentation in line with project and company standards.
• Deliver holing information according to production and dispatch timelines.
• Verify that holing designs comply with specifications, drawings and manufacturing constraints.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production and Design teams to align holing outputs with overall project plans.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of all holing‑related documentation.
• Identify and escalate design clashes, inconsistencies or issues that could affect quality or delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of holing processes, accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage assigned workload in line with production priorities and uphold professional document‑control standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to produce precise engineering drawings and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proactive communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
• Willingness to follow company systems, confidentiality policies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Holing design for formwork systems.
• Use of 3D design software (in‑house).
