Design Architect – Green Building & Campus Planning

About the role

The Design Architect will lead and support design management for green building projects, campus master‑planning and corporate fit‑outs in Bangalore. You will own the full design cycle from concept through detailed design, ensuring high quality, sustainability and coordination across all disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Drive design management for green building architecture, campus master planning and corporate fit‑out projects.
• Manage the complete design cycle – concept, schematic, detailed design and GFC – while maintaining design intent and quality.
• Review and optimise drawings, BOQs and specifications for architecture, civil and interior works.
• Oversee material selection, finish schedules and detailed detailing for interior and exterior works.
• Update standards and specifications in line with emerging codes (NBC, ECBC, IGBC, USGBC/LEED) and internal sustainability guidelines.
• Coordinate design output with consultants, PMC, contractors and internal teams (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, FPS, AV, lighting).
• Conduct regular site reviews to identify and resolve design gaps.
• Track progress, flag risks early and support timely delivery of key milestones.
• Explore and integrate new materials, technologies and workplace strategies focused on sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) with 7‑10 years of experience in large‑scale commercial projects and corporate fit‑outs.
• Strong academic background from a premier architectural institute is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Excellent project management, coordination and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of green building standards (NBC, ECBC, IGBC, USGBC/LEED).
• Material selection and finish scheduling.
• BOQ preparation and construction documentation.
• Coordination with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, FPS, AV and lighting systems.
