Deputy Vice President – Cyber Security

About the role

The Deputy Vice President – Cyber Security will lead the bank’s cyber‑defence initiatives, shape strategy and drive research across the organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures the protection of critical assets and the resilience of the bank’s digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead cyber‑research, threat intelligence and defence projects, delivering thought‑leadership and actionable insights.
• Oversee deployment and management of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM and endpoint protection.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident response and cyber‑forensics investigations.
• Produce reports and recommendations for senior management to mitigate emerging threats.
• Establish and nurture a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for cybersecurity within the bank.

Required profile

• BE/BTech (or equivalent) in any discipline; advanced degree in Cybersecurity or IT preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in BFSI IT, Information Security or Cyber Security, with at least 6 years in cyber‑research, defence or intelligence.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP or MBA (Technology Management) are preferred.
• Proven experience in setting up or working within a cybersecurity CoE.
