Deputy General Manager, Workplace Support Services

About the role

The Deputy General Manager – Workplace Support Services will lead the implementation of facilities, travel, and workspace services across a large corporate campus. This senior, tactical position shapes operating plans aligned with business strategy and ensures day‑to‑day operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee total facility and workplace management, maintenance and enhancement activities for a campus of over 300,000 sq ft and 3,000+ employees.
• Review service contracts, provide improvement recommendations and ensure project quality and timely completion.
• Conduct surprise facilities inspections and document findings.
• Manage hospitality arrangements such as client visits, employee engagements, awards ceremonies and large conferences.
• Coordinate with statutory authorities for permissions and compliance clearances.
• Lead procurement and project management for CAPEX office renovation projects.
• Develop, enhance and implement SOPs to improve employee experience, cost efficiency and UI simplicity.
• Handle lease payments, negotiations, renewals, audits, sub‑letting and leasing of surplus space.
• Ideate and implement best practices for cafeterias, pantries and other amenities.
• Build strong connections with internal stakeholders to ensure synergy.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards (health & safety, BCM, information security) achieving zero non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.
• 18‑22 years of experience managing at least 300,000 sq ft of office/campus space and 3,000+ employees.
• Deep knowledge of facilities‑management best practices and service‑orientation.
• Strong facilitation, project implementation and monitoring capabilities.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 standards for effective compliance.
