Deputy General Manager – Warehousing & Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and execution‑focused Deputy General Manager to lead Pan‑India warehousing, CFA operations, transportation and downstream logistics. The role will drive operational efficiency, inventory accuracy and cost optimisation while ensuring seamless customer fulfilment in a fast‑paced D2C/FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Pan‑India CFA operations, warehousing, transportation and downstream logistics.
• Ensure distribution centre performance aligns with business and customer SLA requirements.
• Drive inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, stock hygiene and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Lead transportation planning, route optimisation, freight management and reverse logistics.
• Oversee 3PL partners, transporters and logistics vendors to maintain service excellence.
• Collaborate with planning, procurement, sales, customer service, finance and manufacturing teams.
• Implement process improvement initiatives, logistics automation and best‑in‑class warehousing practices.
• Monitor logistics KPIs, operational scorecards, MIS reports and cost optimisation projects.
• Ensure compliance with audit, EHS standards and internal policies.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues and service gaps.

Required profile

• 11–15 years of experience in logistics, warehousing and supply chain operations.
• Minimum 3 years in a regional or national leadership role.
• Proven track record handling high‑volume, multi‑location logistics.
• Strong commercial understanding and vendor management capabilities.
• Experience in FMCG, D2C, e‑commerce or consumer goods preferred.
