Deputy General Manager – Project Director

About the role

The Deputy General Manager – Project Director will lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned real‑estate projects for Godrej Properties. This senior position is accountable for business performance, financial governance, risk mitigation and cross‑functional coordination to ensure projects meet profitability targets, timelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall project P&L, driving profitability, cash flow management and cost optimisation.
• Lead execution of projects in line with approved business plans and annual operating plans.
• Oversee asset‑management initiatives to protect and enhance project returns.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, construction progress and delivery schedules.
• Monitor financials, budgets and operational metrics to achieve business objectives.
• Coordinate with construction, design, sales, marketing, finance, legal and customer‑experience teams.
• Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality, safety and compliance.
• Drive milestone‑based governance, site management and execution excellence across all phases.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks affecting timelines, costs and customer commitments.
• Develop mitigation plans and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Promote continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, productivity and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in real‑estate or construction project delivery.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to manage P&L and cash flows.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment and mitigation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Track record of delivering large‑scale projects on time and within budget.
