Deputy Clinical Nurse

About the role

The Deputy Clinical Nurse supports the delivery of high‑quality patient care in a busy hospital environment. Working under senior nursing leadership, the role involves direct bedside care, coordination of nursing activities, and mentorship of junior staff to ensure safe and compassionate treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and symptoms accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute patient care.
• Perform point‑of‑care tests and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Monitor patients' health status and respond to changes promptly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
• Deliver bedside care and operate medical equipment safely.
• Attend regular in‑service education and training sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate with first‑division marks in 10th, 12th and GNM Nursing/BSc Nursing/M.Sc Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to assess health problems, maintain accurate records, and implement nursing care plans.
• Experience guiding junior nurses and overseeing departmental functions.
