Demand Planning Professional

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Demand Planning Professional to support its rail and mobility solutions business. Based in Nashik, you will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure material availability, optimize purchase orders, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SAP R/3 generated purchase requisitions and coordinate release of purchase orders.
• Follow‑up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and manage customs clearance.
• Reschedule delivery dates based on schedule requirements and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with finance for transit‑damage insurance cases and with production logistics for subcontracted items.
• Address quality issues with manufacturers and vendors, and improve vendor delivery reliability.
• Update item procurement lead‑times in SAP MRP and consolidate purchase requisitions to reduce order count.
• Implement sourcing models such as consignment stock, contract warehouses, and KANBAN, and apply lean manufacturing concepts.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience working with SAP, specifically MM and PP modules.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with external suppliers and internal departments.
• Ability to work flexibly under urgent customer demands.
• Result‑oriented, team‑focused and quality‑driven mindset.
