Data Scientist – Generative AI Specialist

About the role

Bosch is seeking an experienced Data Scientist with deep expertise in Generative AI to drive innovative AI solutions for our global software development centre in Bengaluru. You will translate complex business problems into cutting‑edge AI/ML models and lead end‑to‑end delivery of AI projects.

Key responsibilities

• Understand business challenges and design AI/ML solutions that address them.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data; perform feature engineering and exploratory analysis.
• Build statistical models, supervised and unsupervised machine‑learning algorithms, and deep‑learning architectures for computer‑vision and NLP tasks.
• Develop, fine‑tune, and deploy large language models (LLMs) using prompt engineering, RAG, RAFT, and PEFT techniques (LoRA, QLoRA).
• Work with open‑source LLMs (Llama, Gemma, Mixtral) and closed‑source models (OpenAI GPT, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini).
• Integrate vector databases such as Pinecone and Qdrant for retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Lead project execution, mentor team members, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Generative AI specialist.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience developing Generative AI solutions.
• Proven track record with LLM technologies, prompt engineering, and model fine‑tuning.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing AI projects independently.
