Data Science Analyst – SQL, Python & GenAI

About the role

The Analyst role sits within Corporate Digital Acquisition Analytics, supporting the strategy, development, and optimization of personalized digital experiences for Commercial corporate prospects across digital channels. You will use data, advanced analytics, and emerging AI to drive the next generation of AMEX’s corporate digital acquisition engine.

Key responsibilities

• Develop analytical solutions and data products that improve targeting accuracy, personalization, and digital acquisition performance on the AMEX website.
• Build and enhance targeting models leveraging first‑party data and evolving digital intelligence capabilities.
• Apply emerging AI and GenAI techniques such as intelligent customer‑journey optimization, semantic modeling, and automated insights.
• Design and run experiments, measure performance, and optimize investment by evaluating test results and making actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across American Express to ensure implementation of analytical solutions and measurable business impact.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics).
• 0–2 years of professional experience in data science or analytics.
• Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and building machine‑learning models such as XGBoost or K‑Means.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking to solve unstructured business problems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
