Data Protection Analyst

About the role

This role offers a motivated professional the chance to join Cyberhaven’s growing Professional and Managed Services teams in Bangalore. As a Data Protection Analyst you will drive continuous value for customers by identifying insider threats, investigating endpoint forensic incidents, and delivering actionable insights from data security events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide insight into DLP analytics and related issues.
• Analyze Cyberhaven’s Data Detection and Response (DDR) platform event data to improve policies, incidents, and alerts, focusing on data loss risk.
• Refine datasets and policies as customers’ data risk strategies mature.
• Prepare and present summaries and reports to internal stakeholders.
• Eliminate noise and false-positive information to enhance detection accuracy.
• Conduct forensic analysis on people, groups, and non-sanctioned egress destinations as requested.

Required profile

• 2–5 years experience with data protection or adjacent security tools (EDR, SIEM, SOAR) and at least 2 years in Insider Threat/InfoSec.
• Strong grasp of endpoint protection best practices and incident mitigation workflows.
• Experience with DLP, Insider Threat, CASB and controls for handling sensitive data.
• Comfortable across macOS, Linux, Windows and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Data & automation skills: SQL analysis, dashboard creation, XML-based DLP rule editing, scripting and API usage.
