Data Engineer – Supply Chain

About the role

NovintiX is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and architectures for supply chain data, including inventory, shipping and procurement. The role focuses on developing data platforms that enable predictive analytics while ensuring high data quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for supply chain data.
• Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define analytics requirements.
• Build data models and support predictive analytics such as demand forecasting and optimization.
• Implement data visualization solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including ERP, PLM and other systems.
• Develop APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Work with cross‑functional teams across supply chain, logistics and IT.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with supply chain or logistics data is a plus.
• Ability to work in Agile, fast‑paced environments.

Required skills

• Python, Java, SQL, Spark SQL.
• Hadoop, PySpark.
• NoSQL databases.
• Data warehousing and data lake architectures.
• Cloud platforms: Azure (ADF, Databricks) and AWS.
• Data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense.
• API development and integration with ERP/PLM systems.
• Familiarity with machine‑learning concepts and algorithms.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance.
