Data Engineer

About the role

You will design and build data platforms for clients who rely heavily on spreadsheets. The role focuses on ingesting data from SaaS applications and databases, modeling warehouses, and creating a reliable transformation layer that delivers consistent metrics for analytics and machine‑learning use.

Key responsibilities

• Build and orchestrate ETL pipelines using Airflow or Prefect from diverse data sources.
• Model data warehouses (star schemas) with dbt for BI and ML consumption.
• Ensure data quality through testing, freshness SLAs, and lineage documentation.
• Optimize storage and compute costs across Postgres, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate business questions into robust data models.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL expertise and solid Python programming skills.
• Experience with at least one workflow orchestrator and one cloud data warehouse.
• Attention to idempotency, backfills, and schema evolution.
