Data Engineer II

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Data Engineer II to join its global Data, Analytics & AI platform. The role focuses on building machine‑learning‑enabled denim finishes, blockchain‑based worker wellbeing tools, and supply‑chain algorithms that power the company’s next‑generation apparel business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native data pipelines and data models for the Supply Chain & Planning domain.
• Implement real‑time data processing using event‑driven architectures such as Kafka and Google Pub/Sub.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams across multiple geographies to deliver reliable data products and dashboards.
• Migrate existing workloads to modern cloud solutions while improving agility, security, and cost efficiency.
• Provide operational support and technical expertise for production data services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data‑centric automation and quality engineering, preferably within the retail or fashion sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growth, cross‑continental environment and overlapping with U.S. time zones when needed.
