Data Engineer en alternance

About the role

Startperf, a Paris‑based digital marketing agency specialized in SEO, is looking for a Data Engineer apprentice to join its R&D team. You will work closely with SEO consultants to design, develop and optimise data pipelines that support the agency’s performance‑driven services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Implement cloud data architectures such as Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
• Integrate and structure data from APIs, files and relational databases.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and security.
• Automate processes and set up monitoring.
• Contribute to technology choices and performance optimisation.
• Maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Create and update client dashboards (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Participate in internal R&D, including AI‑driven automation tools (Make, n8n).

Required profile

• Motivated, autonomous and comfortable working in a team.
• Proactive, creative and able to take initiatives.
• Curious and willing to ask questions to deepen knowledge.
• Basic understanding of SEO is a plus.

Required skills

• Python (or similar programming language).
• Google Cloud Platform and general Cloud/DevOps concepts.
• Design patterns (e.g., MVC).
• SQL (standard, Server) and Google BigQuery.
• API integration and data‑scraping techniques.
• Data‑visualisation tools: Looker Studio, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Reeport.
• Version control with Git.
• Automation/orchestration tools such as Make and n8n.
