Data Engineer – Data Platform Development

About the role

The Data Engineer will design, develop and maintain robust data solutions that support data generation, collection and processing across the organisation. Working within the Data Platform team, you will build scalable pipelines, ensure data quality and implement ETL processes to move data between systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines using Python, AWS services and PySpark.
• Develop, test and maintain ETL processes for data migration and deployment.
• Collaborate with Integration Architects and Data Architects to align platform components and data models.
• Monitor data quality, optimise workflows for performance and scalability.
• Identify and drive process improvements within the data platform environment.
• Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering.
• 15 years of full‑time education (equivalent to a bachelor’s degree).
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and become a subject‑matter expert.
• Strong collaboration skills to engage with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
