Data Engineer – Build and Optimize ELT Pipelines

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join Sandvik’s digital manufacturing team in Pune. In this role you will translate business and data requirements into robust ELT pipelines that feed high-quality data assets across bronze, silver and gold layers. You will design, optimise and maintain data flows while collaborating closely with architects and analysts to ensure performance, reliability and re‑usability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ELT pipelines that move data through bronze, silver and gold medallion layers.
• Collaborate with Data Architects to design optimal technical solutions.
• Work with Analytical Engineers, AI Engineers and Data Analysts to ensure data assets meet functional requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise pipeline performance for reliability and scalability.
• Document data flows and share knowledge to promote reuse across teams.
