Data Center Technician

About the role

Oracle is looking for a Data Center Technician to provide technical support and installations within an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) datacenter. The role involves hands‑on hardware, network, cabling and rack deployments, as well as site planning and problem escalation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform break‑fix tasks on servers, network equipment and cabling.
• Deploy racks, manage cabling and support hardware installations in OCI datacenters.
• Prioritize ticket queues, resolve escalations and clear blocking issues to meet SLA targets.
• Provide 24 × 7 onsite coverage through shift rotations.
• Support day‑to‑day hardware maintenance and execute repairs for known failure modes.
• Apply basic operating‑system, hardware and network fundamentals during troubleshooting.
• Assist with datacenter design considerations, including electrical and cooling plant operations.

Required profile

• BS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Good spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid understanding of datacenter design, electrical and cooling systems.
• Basic knowledge of operating‑system, hardware and network concepts.
