Data Analytics Engineer – Customer Listening

About the role

The Customer Listening & Analytics team within Cisco’s Data and Analytics organization is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer. You will own the design, development, and stewardship of the data infrastructure that powers Cisco’s global customer experience measurement programs, working at the intersection of data architecture, pipeline engineering, and AI‑augmented analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end dbt models for the Customer Listening data platform, including parametric control layers and hierarchical configurations.
• Develop and optimise Snowflake‑based pipelines for UNIFIED_PARTY_ID resolution, hierarchy rollups, reconciliation, and metric computation.
• Write production‑grade SQL and Python scripts for data transformation, automation, and integration with GCP services and Mosaic.
• Instrument pipelines with robust quality frameworks (dbt tests, row‑count validation, null assertions, referential integrity checks).
• Collaborate with BI engineers to hand off semantic models and resolve data‑layer issues in Power BI reports.
• Contribute to AI integration workstreams, building tables and pipelines that support LLM‑generated insights such as Dynamic NPS Forecast AI summaries.
• Evaluate and adopt AI‑native tooling like Snowflake Cortex and dbt Copilot in line with the team’s AI roadmap.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Proven ownership of production‑grade Snowflake environments, including query optimisation, RBAC configuration, and schema design.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with dbt, including authoring incremental models and tests.
• Strong ability to work independently, make technical judgments, and drive forward‑looking AI tooling adoption.
