Data Analytics Analyst – SQL, Python, GenAI

About the role

The Analytics, Investment & Marketing Enablement (AIM) team within Global Commercial Services (GCS) at American Express is looking for a Data Analytics Analyst. Based in Gurgaon, you will focus on acquisition campaign measurement across multiple channels and product offerings, turning data into actionable insights that drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support business partners with campaign measurement, ROI analysis and data‑driven insights for acquisition and engagement initiatives.
• Develop analytical solutions by gathering requirements, performing data analysis and presenting results to GCS business teams.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly results reporting for marketing and sales leadership.
• Explore and visualise data from diverse sources to create compelling case studies.
• Collaborate with functional leaders, senior stakeholders and marketing partners to assess needs, ensure data integrity and provide actionable recommendations.
• Drive end‑to‑end projects with ownership, flexibility and a growth mindset.

Required profile

• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., B.Tech, BSc/MSc Statistics, Economics) preferred.
• Strong analytical aptitude, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and adapt to flexible shift timings.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience in data analytics or a related field.
