Data Analytics Analyst – Merchant Onboarding

About the role

The UMGEA Global Analytics team is looking for a Data Analytics Analyst to support the Merchant Onboarding Analytics portfolio. You will design, develop, and scale analytics solutions that provide end‑to‑end visibility of the onboarding journey and help drive data‑driven decisions across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and own analytics solutions and data products for merchant onboarding.
• Analyze performance, risk profiles, financial‑crime prevention, operational efficiency and product capabilities to uncover trends and business opportunities.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses, identify root causes and recommend data‑driven improvements.
• Partner with Merchant Onboarding, Servicing, Technology and other business teams to translate needs into analytical assets.
• Create interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards and other visualisations for senior stakeholders.
• Drive automation and modernization initiatives using GenAI‑powered tools and innovative analytical approaches.
• Communicate insights, business impact and strategic recommendations to senior leaders.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in an analytical role.
• Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence decisions.
