Cyber Security Manager

About the role

PracticeSuite, a cloud‑based platform for healthcare practices, is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to protect its core IT infrastructure and ensure the security of its services. The role combines technical leadership with project management to maintain a robust security posture across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and maintenance of servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Oversee system upgrades, patches, performance tuning, and ensure optimal uptime and scalability.
• Manage vendor relationships and service‑level agreements for hardware, software, and network providers.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and procedures.
• Supervise endpoint protection, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and data loss prevention systems.
• Control access, identity management, and incident response processes.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration tests and drive remediation plans.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness training and mentor IT staff.
• Partner with business leaders to align infrastructure and security initiatives with organizational goals.
• Prepare and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in infrastructure or security management.
• Proven experience managing enterprise networks, servers, and cloud platforms.
• Successful implementation of security frameworks and compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, and related networking technologies.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, MDM solutions, and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to script or automate tasks using PowerShell or Python (a plus).
