Cyber Security Engineer – Application Security

About the role

Join the Cyber Digital & Fraud security team within the CDF central cybersecurity department of a leading global bank. As a Cyber Security Engineer you will ensure the security of a wide range of applications by conducting thorough security reviews and supporting remediation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform application security reviews in line with Group requirements.
• Support development and operations teams in implementing cybersecurity measures.
• Analyse security reports from scanners and intrusion tests and assist in creating remediation plans.
• Track remediation progress for identified vulnerabilities and non‑compliances.
• Provide IT and cyber risk advisory to stakeholders.
• Prepare risk reports, management information and contribute to Operational Resilience KPI dashboards.
• Help classify applications based on confidentiality, integrity, availability and traceability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT risk and cyber security within a financial institution.
• Strong commitment, self‑motivation and ability to work under time constraints.
• Good understanding of risk assessment, analysis and the role of risk opinion.
• Calm, professional approach with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
