Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

The Cyber Security Analyst will protect Arrakis Ventures’ client and internal environments by monitoring, analyzing and responding to security events across applications, networks and systems. Working on‑site in Mumbai, you will collaborate with consultants and technical teams to embed security controls and raise security awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, review logs and investigate incidents across the infrastructure.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for web, mobile and network assets.
• Perform malware analysis, including behavior analysis and basic reverse‑engineering.
• Recommend and coordinate remediation actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards and procedures.
• Support security awareness initiatives and produce clear documentation and reports.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills for threat detection, incident analysis and risk assessment.
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS and secure network architectures.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles and vulnerability assessment of web and mobile applications.
• Basic malware analysis and reverse‑engineering capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection tools and incident response processes.
• Ability to communicate security concepts to non‑technical audiences.
