Customer Relationship Officer – Micro Banking (Group Lending)

About the role

The Customer Relationship Officer (CRO) will manage banking relationships for approximately 650 families within a designated geographic area. The CRO is responsible for acquiring new customers for the Group Lending (GL) portfolio, cross‑selling additional banking products, and delivering prompt, high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow banking relationships with 650 families, offering the full range of bank services.
• Acquire new customers for Group Lending and service existing GL accounts.
• Upsell loans and deposit products to eligible customers, family members, and referrals.
• Onboard Savings Accounts, Fixed Deposits, Recurring Deposits, and insurance products.
• Generate quality leads for third‑party products offered by the bank.
• Ensure timely loan disbursement for repeat and top‑up customers.
• Adhere to all internal processes, KYC norms, and circulars.
• Conduct surveys, group formation meetings, and compulsory group training sessions.
• Collect and verify documentation for loan applications and account opening.

Required profile

• Ability to meet set targets for Group Loans acquisition and repeat business.
• Experience in micro‑banking or group lending environments.
• Strong knowledge of KYC requirements and banking documentation.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to educate clients on a full suite of banking products.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and family members.
