Customer Care Professional

About the role

As a Customer Care Professional for American Express Banking Services, you will be the first point of contact for customers using our chat channel. You will help onboard new banking customers, resolve everyday inquiries and ensure a seamless, secure experience that reflects our brand’s commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑resolution support via chat, handling 2‑3 conversations simultaneously.
• Understand and respond to customer queries promptly, aiming for immediate resolution and high satisfaction.
• Adhere to quality, compliance and performance metrics set for employees, customers and shareholders.
• Communicate effectively, recognizing tone and mood through written interaction.
• Deliver personalized, empathetic service while following end‑to‑end chat procedures.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree.
• At least one year of experience in chat‑based customer service.
• Flexible to work in a 24 × 7 environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication and quick comprehension skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with chat platforms.
• Web navigation and basic troubleshooting.
• Typing speed of 25‑35 words per minute.
• Multitasking across multiple screens/tools.
