About the role

We are seeking a Customer Acquisition Lead to manage customer relationships and drive sales performance across an assigned portfolio. The role focuses on securing new business, maintaining existing accounts, and contributing to Maersk’s growth objectives in the logistics and shipping sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Own overall sales responsibility for assigned customer relationships and portfolio performance.
  • Manage assigned customers and budget in alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify customer needs and provide suitable business solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with target customers and assigned accounts.
  • Communicate market trends, rate changes, and company policies to customers.
  • Research territories to identify potential customers and business opportunities.
  • Analyse competitive activities and industry trends to support growth strategies.
  • Ensure CRM tools are updated accurately and on time.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention within the assigned account base.
  • Handle medium‑impact customer accounts across any size cluster or geographical area.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, customer management or account handling.
  • Experience in logistics, shipping or supply chain industry is preferred.
  • Strong sales and account management capabilities with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Customer‑focused approach with problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CRM tools.
  • Experience using sales reporting systems.
