Custom Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer specialized in SAP ABAP Cloud to design, develop, and enhance cloud‑based applications that meet specific business requirements. The role involves working with modern SAP frameworks, delivering high‑performance solutions, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure ABAP Cloud applications, APIs, and integrations on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Develop SAP Fiori user interfaces using UI5, ensuring intuitive user experiences.
• Implement and extend ABAP Cloud solutions, including custom code, reports, interfaces, and extensions.
• Perform performance tuning, code optimization, and resource management for ABAP applications.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Support system upgrades and migrations, guaranteeing compatibility with the latest SAP releases.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with functional experts, business analysts, and other developers to align technical solutions with business needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development, preferably with cloud experience.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to work in agile (Scrum) teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
