CSE Engineer – Design & Documentation

About the role

The CSE Engineer in the Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) Design team is responsible for producing high‑quality engineering documentation, shop and tender drawings, and supporting site installations for elevators, escalators, travelators and auto‑walks. The role ensures compliance with engineering policies, local codes and EN standards while collaborating with global colleagues and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and implement IFC, architectural and structural drawings into shop and tender drawings.
• Prepare and localise 2D shop/tender drawings for elevators, escalators, travelators and third‑party equipment.
• Revise shop drawings based on customer feedback and create local material drawings, such as dividing beams and lifting hook beams.
• Produce finishes drawings for cabins, operating panels, landing signalisation and architraves.
• Develop builder layout (advance) drawings for construction coordination and installation drawings for site teams.
• Generate as‑built and red‑line drawings according to customer requirements.
• Resolve site engineering issues, participate in customer meetings and influence specifications.
• Balance workload with team members and ensure delivery within service‑level agreements.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in design and drafting, preferably in the elevator industry.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work across time zones and cultures.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (expert level, recent versions).
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM (advantage).
• Understanding of elevator, escalator and moving‑walk technology.
