Credit Controller Consultant

About the role

The Credit Controller Consultant will manage the credit control function, ensuring timely payments and maintaining healthy cash flow. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to enforce credit policies and support the finance operations of a travel management company.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable and prompt customer payments.
• Control credit limits for customers and branches based on payment trends and financial data.
• Obtain and verify credit authorization forms and agreements in line with policy.
• Administer client rates and discounts according to discounting policy.
• Process new account applications and set appropriate credit limits.
• Generate fortnightly statements, verify invoice accuracy, and file acknowledgments.
• Prepare ageing reports, reconcile differences, and report deviations.
• Conduct fortnightly/monthly reconciliations, send reminder letters, and document collection meetings.
• Produce weekly debtor reports and collection plans for management review.
• Communicate customer feedback for service recovery and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• M.Com degree.
• 3‑5 years of credit control experience in a reputable travel management company.
• Strong commercial knowledge and business understanding.
• Good grasp of accounting and financial analysis.
• Methodical work approach and effective follow‑up skills.
• Ability to build strong coordination with customers.
