Costing & Inventory Controller

About the role

The Costing & Inventory Controller ensures accurate product costing, validates inventory records, and supports audit activities. This position is pivotal for financial precision, operational efficiency, and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly cost sheets, analyse major cost deviations and calculate process‑wise overhead rates.
• Reconcile Cost of Sales (COS) with finance and operations, and validate production order consumption against the Bill of Materials (BOM) before TECO.
• Quarterly BOM verification against QMS data to guarantee accuracy.
• Lead monthly stock‑take, produce consolidated variance reports and coordinate external stock verification with sales teams.
• Analyse inventory movements, compute provisions for slow‑moving and non‑moving stock.
• Act as primary liaison for statutory and internal auditors, overseeing stock valuation, cost reconciliation, BOI‑related costing, and unbilled revenue calculations.
• Maintain a monthly insurance tracker for factory assets and inventory.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, chemical or pharma industries.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, operations and audit teams.
