Costing & Inventory Controller

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Costing & Inventory Controller to join our finance team. The role will drive cost efficiency, maintain accurate inventory records, and support business decisions through rigorous financial analysis and audit coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly cost sheets, conduct root‑cause analysis of cost variances and reconcile Cost of Sales.
• Calculate process‑wise overhead rates and validate production order consumption against BOMs.
• Lead monthly stock verification at the factory, produce variance reports and coordinate external audits at customer sites.
• Maintain inventory movement records, provision for slow‑moving stock and ensure BOM accuracy through quarterly reconciliations.
• Act as primary contact for statutory and internal audits, handling stock valuation, cost reconciliation and unbilled revenue calculations.
• Update monthly insurance trackers for factory assets and inventory.

Required profile

• Qualified Cost Accountant or CMA preferred.
• 7–8 years of experience in costing, inventory control or commercial finance.
• Background in FMCG, chemicals or pharma industries.
• Strong understanding of production processes, audit compliance and financial reporting.
