Cost Controller – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

About the role

As a member of the site controlling team reporting to the Site Controller, you will be responsible for cost accounting, inventory control and cost‑control activities across manufacturing and supply‑chain functions. You will support month‑end financial close and act as a business partner to Operations and Supply‑Chain Management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cost accounting, inventory control and cost‑control activities for the site’s manufacturing and supply‑chain functions.
• Support month‑end financial close and provide ad‑hoc reporting.
• Partner with Operations and Supply‑Chain to highlight financial risks and opportunities.
• Analyse spending by accounts and cost centres, meet with functional heads, discuss variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Interface with Givaudan Business Services and external auditors on cost accounting and inventory matters.
• Analyse slow‑moving, obsolete inventories, monitor cycle counts and write‑offs.
• Update standard costs annually and analyse purchase‑price variances on a monthly basis.
• Maintain financial performance KPIs for manufacturing (cost/kg, yield, discards) and prepare management information.
• Identify process problems, propose solutions and assist in ad‑hoc issue resolution.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data.
• Experience in cost accounting, inventory control or related finance functions.
• Proactive business partnering skills with Operations and Supply‑Chain teams.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet reporting deadlines.
• Problem‑solving orientation and willingness to support continuous improvement.
