Cost Controller

About the role

As a Cost Controller within Givaudan's site controlling team, you will partner with manufacturing and supply‑chain functions to ensure accurate cost accounting, inventory control and financial reporting. Reporting to the Site Controller, you will help drive transparency of spending and support month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cost accounting, inventory control and cost‑control activities for manufacturing and supply‑chain operations.
• Support month‑end financial close and assist the Site Controller with broader manufacturing controlling tasks.
• Analyse and report spending by accounts and cost centres, meeting regularly with functional heads to discuss variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Act as the interface for cost accounting and inventory matters with Givaudan Business Services and external auditors.
• Monitor slow‑moving, obsolete inventories, oversee permanent cycle counts and analyse count results.
• Update standard costs annually and analyse purchase price variances on a monthly basis.
• Contribute to financial performance KPIs (cost/kg, yield, discards) and prepare management information.
• Identify process problem areas and collaborate with teams to develop solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in cost accounting, inventory control and manufacturing or supply‑chain finance.
• Strong analytical abilities and comfort discussing financial data with functional managers.
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet reporting deadlines and coordinate the work of others.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and willingness to support ad‑hoc issue resolution.
