Cost Controller – Hybrid, Bengaluru

About the role

We are seeking a Cost Controller to join our Business Planning & Control team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on driving cost efficiency, supporting budget owners, and providing financial insights to enable informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cost control initiatives and assist budget owners in staying within allocated budgets.
• Conduct actuals versus budget analysis and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Manage OPEX budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cost allocation across lines of business.
• Identify and lead cost‑saving and optimization projects.
• Support incentive provisioning and track special project costs.
• Ensure accurate cost booking, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial analysis for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• CA qualified or CA Inter qualified with 5+ years of relevant experience after CA Final/CA Inter.
• Experience working with Indian clients and accounts in a service‑based company.
• Strong background in cost control, OPEX, budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and cost optimization.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills for handling large datasets.
• Cost control and cost allocation/apportionment techniques.
• OPEX budgeting and forecasting.
• P&L analysis and cost optimization.
• Understanding of cost centres, general ledger (GL), and provisioning.
